If you want to experience the thrill of survival while learning something new, you gotta try this game, which is called Text or Die. The name of the game has sounded exciting already, right? In Text or Die, players are competing with other AI characters. All characters will stand in the middle of a sea, and there will be one block beneath their feet. Word puzzles will be released one after another and the more you hit the right answer, the more blocks there will be under your feet so you won’t get drowned in the water. However, if you give the wrong answer, the block beneath will disappear and you are doomed to fall into the ocean and die once all the blocks are gone. Therefore, the game is all about the storage of the vocabulary of players. What makes it even worse, sharks are swimming around so your fall means that you will be eaten up by those sharks. If you don’t want to die in this way, you have to concentrate and answer each question as quickly as possible. The key to winning is to type the longest correct word so you can get more blocks. No misspelling is permitted. The water will keep rising after each round and keep it up until there are only three competitors left. Apart from the regular levels, the game also features bonus levels in which players can acquire as many bonuses as possible.

Pros

1. Players can improve their English language throughout the gameplay, and if they make any mistakes, the game will automatically correct those mistakes, which is a good learning opportunity for players to expand their vocabulary.

2. The game not only tests players' vocabulary but also common sense. Therefore, knowledge could be grown by trying this game.

3. The looks of the characters can be customized and new characters are waiting for players to unlock.

4. The graphic design is of rudimentary quality, and the character images are very rough.

Cons

1. The game contains too many ads even within one match, indicating its high frequency which annoys players and makes it impossible for players to enjoy an unbothered gameplay.

2. Even if players answer the question correctly, the game would still regard it wrong because the answer is not that common, which is somewhat misleading.

3. It crashes now and then and has glitches to fix for the developing team.
